Booking
By booking a room or rooms with us guests agree to arrive for the booked period and also agree to our terms and conditions in this ‘Small Print’ section.
Bookings are for the number of people specified at the time of booking, should the party be larger than booked, another room will be offered to the extra guests if it is available. Also up to 2 additional people can be accommodated in the Master/Family room only, this on the basis of a shared double sofa bed.
Extra guests will be charged at the published rates. Should extra rooms be unavailable or the Master room solution be unacceptable the additional guests will be asked to make alternative arrangements elsewhere, should the guest(s) booked decide to accompany them their booking will be treated as a “no show” and charged accordingly.
Arrival/Departure
Guests may take up their rooms from 15:30 but please indicate an approximate ETA on booking so we can make sure someone is in to greet you and we MUST know if arrival is going to be delayed past 22:00.
Guests are requested to vacate their rooms by 11:00 on the day of departure. We will always endeavour to offer a late check-out facility to 14:00 but ask for understanding if it’s not possible.
Deposit
A deposit may be requested which would be by personal cheque at present. Should one be required it will be requested at the time of booking confirmation.
Cancellation
We will always try to accommodate amendments to bookings however if this is not possible the original booking will need to be honoured unless we are able to re-sell the booking made. This same policy also applies to cancelled bookings unless we are able to re-sell the room when a full refund will be made.
Please Note: Final bills can be paid by personal or travelers cheque or cash, currently payment by credit or debit cards is NOT possible.
Pets
Sorry but we do not accommodate pets of any nature in the house apart from guide dogs
Limits of Liability
Without prejudice to any other rights of limitation the owners or any employees of White House may have and your rights under common law, we take no responsibility for the loss or damage to any vehicles, luggage or personal items brought onto our grounds or into any of our buildings, howsoever the loss or damage is caused nor to any injury to guests howsoever caused.
Visitors to White House do so entirely at their own risk.
Damage and Breakages
We would ask guests to remember that this is a home as well as a first class B&B and to respect the fixtures and fittings in the public rooms. In the unlikely event that guests cause any breakage, damage or unusual soiling, we reserve the right to seek compensation for the cost of repair, replacement or unusual cleaning that may be incurred.
Right to refuse admission
Under very extreme conditions we reserve the right to refuse admission to booked guests or to ask for their immediate departure.
Such extreme conditions would include but not exclusive to, the following:
- Antisocial or abusive behaviour of any nature.
- Any action liable to endanger the safety of other guests, the management or the fixtures, fittings or fabric of any building on the grounds or any plants, fences etc. on the property.
- Smoking in any of the public rooms.
- Refusing to reduce the volume on the TV or Radio to a level acceptable to the management after 10pm.
- Failure to arrive by 10pm on the day booked unless a late arrival had previously been requested.
