Guest Comments
We are “assessed” by Enjoy England on an annual basis and officially are a Four Star Silvier Award establishment but we wanted to know what the really important people – you, our guests – think about us, so in common with most B&B’s we have a guest comments form. Where ours differs slightly is we ask for a star rating, from 1 to 6, well there’s no harm in trying! The following is a good cross section of comments.

“What a great find – everything has been good. Thank you for an excellent evening meal. We appreciated the attention to detail throughout – the rooms, the dining room and the excellent friendly service – including the jokes!! Don’t sack the chef – she’s fantastic. “We had a fantastic room as good as a suite in any five star hotel. Ross and Isabel, you both made our stay so enjoyable we couldn’t wish for anything more - but we got it - the best vegetarian food we’ve tasted away from home in 27 years. “It isn’t often that one gets a chance to praise in these days of apathy and indifference so it is with great delight and joy that I can record a first class experience at White House, especially so for vegetarians! Gourmet food, incredibly hospitable and caring hosts, nothing too much trouble! I loved the attention to detail (e.g. covered glasses), very comfortable bed, great shower . . . . all in all a truly excellent time - stylish yet homely. Thank you both so much.” Ms W - 6 stars

"The large room (Master Suite) in "the best B&B" is fantactic, the four poster bed is very comfortable, the room is excellent and then we get to the bathroom. I have stayed in three rooms now here , all good but this one is the best. There was nothing better than coming back in the evening and sliding into the jet bath, so relaxing and so good and with the breakfast here it has made it my number 1 best B&B. Many thanks." “Just popped by to stay for one night – wished I could stay another! Great hosts and fantastic food and peaceful surroundings. Room is perfect in every way, great shower, firm bed, pretty views and even a modern TV with more than 4 channels! Took a walk along the canal and enjoyed the company of hens and the incredibly affectionate cat. Perfect, 5 stars (6 even)”. Mr M – 6 stars
“Everything we could have desired, and more, was provided at White House. The room was beautiful, the bathroom luxurious and the meals superb. Our current "White House" star rating (29th May 2010) is 5.72 stars!
