Evening Menu

We specialise in vegetarian cuisine but are NOT exclusively vegetarian. One guest questioned how we could get across to potential guests the quality of the food we serve so we added “gastro” to our description to try to reflect this quality. We always offer a choice of two starters, three main courses and two desserts on two separate menus, one for vegetarians and one for meat lovers. We change both menus every day so guests on extended stays always have a fresh selection daily.

We are happy to accommodate ALL dietary needs, Vegan; Celiac etc provided we are advised of your particular requirements at the time of booking.

We once owned a food manufacturing company so appreciate the need for clear product separation. We apply the same principles used in the factory to ensure there is no cross contamination between  meat based and vegetarian based meals.

A Home-Made Soup Served with Bread Rolls or Flavoured Croutons

Served on a Bed of Salad Leaves

Mushroom Wellington
Two field mushrooms sandwiching a mixture of Leeks, Walnuts, Stilton and Creme Frais then baked en croute and served with Baby New Potatoes, Braised Red Cabbage, Seasonal Vegetables and a Stilton and Creme Frais Sauce.

Parmesan Crusted Vegetable Bake
A Mixture of Sauted Vegetables Baked in a Cheesy Leek Sauce, Topped with Piped Mashed Potatoes and a Parmesan Crust, then Flashed under the Grill.

Tagliatelle Pasta with Button Mushrooms in a Tomato, Ginger and Chilli Sauce Served Garlic Bread
