Last month I was wondering if Spring was just around the corner, now I have to ask whether Summer has arrived? Sorry if you live in part of the country that is/has not been basking in glorious sunshine but I can assure you our little corner of forgotten Shropshire sure is/has!
Now here’s the rub, I want some rain. Just had half the middle field re-seeded after all the building work was finished and since it was done we have had not nary a drop of rain, I need it to get the grass set before our wonderful free range chicken dig up all the seeds, I think they believe Dad had them put down just for them! – little b – – blighters.
Easter is this week-end and we are chocker, couldn’t fit an anorexic mouse into the place over the entire week-end. We are organising an Easter Egg hunt for the younger children (OK, some of the older ‘children’ will probably have as much fun) and I have promised that there will be no eggs put under chicken, apart from not being very hygienic, the chocolate would melt and knowing our little blighters they would eat the eggs before they were found.
To all of you who decided to stay elsewhere or were too late in booking, have a great Easter and go easy on the chocolate, you don’t want to come out in spots!
